Have you ever wondered what happens inside a funeral home?
At Tender, we like to be tender with death. We believe community can care for their own dead, so we’re bringing death back into the hands of community. Volunteering with Tender supports you to get reacquainted with death and be part of a community reconnecting with our innate abilities to respond to death with confidence, compassion, kindness and care. By volunteering with Tender Funerals MNC, you will have the opportunity to give back to your community, and to yourself, in really unique and special ways. We have created many innovative opportunities for anyone interested in getting involved.

Gardening, maintenance, administration, ordering supplies, event support, flower arranging, welcoming families, assisting with vigils, supporting families with in-home death care, shopping, cleaning, research, special projects, mortuary assistance, bringing deceased people into our care, after-care program, follow-up with families, artists in residence program, training support, funeral support.
